Here's what's keeping me busy this winter.
A bit of a departure for me but I've had this Thruxton for about three years now and always wanted to do something with it. I've been backwards and forwards to John Williams at the Tank Shop trying to sort out a big shiny alloy tank and finally made a polystyrene mock up of the shape I'm after. The real thing should be ready next week so I'll post more pics when it is. As for the rest of the bike - I'm making a fibreglass Manx type seat after chopping off the rear subframe, it'll have ally guards, Lucas taillight, swept back pipes and peashooters and a whole host of original stuff like headlight brackets and all that to replace the cheesy 'retro' stuff. Motor's going out to 904cc, ported and maybe a set of flatslides. Should be an easy build as there's not much fab to do. I really need to get a bigger garage built for next winter before I start another chop. url=http://img135.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscn0318smallvv5.jpg>

I like the way this bike is going , even though I`m not a huge fan of the Hinckley Triumphs . I bet cutting that polystyrene made a mess , didn`t it ? I also like the way you`re already planning the next bike before this one`s done , I do the same thing.

Filthy bloody stuff! I'll be finding bits of it for years. I agree, I find the styling of Hinckley Triumphs a bit stodgy. As for the next one? Hmm, who knows. Maybe another chop but I fancy doing an A65 OIF flat tracker, sort of Dave Aldana replica.
