High time I came here, too.
Finally got round to registering here. Up in the freezing north at the moment and me cars just started missing after driving home through about 8 inches of slush. Currently (well, when the snow clears off) running a 45 chop that's under the knife at the moment and an Thruxton that I'm gonna cafe the hell out of next winter. Good luck with the board and hello to all you JJers. Can I not post pics here? Johnny

welcome over here - well ... its a shitty free board no pic hosting built in there is a post in aimless banter on how to post images... basically use a image hosting site like imageshack or flickr

thats bearawseome, and a white seat too, what a hero

slowrider- 01-19-2007

Yeah, I chopped out the top tube and shortened the front tube to get the geometry back closer to standard. I've grafted in a new hidden wire top tube and turned up a new neck for the springers. Not much else done on the frame, I'm off boarding next week so I'll have to get me finger out when I get back. Done a load of work on the motor - relieved cylinders, shaved heads and barrels, lightened valve train, opened up the ports, WLDR cams etc. Think I'll go Sumos route next winter with a stroker crank. All I'm really waiting for now is one of Trents oil tanks from 'Atomic'. Tried a few listings on 'the bay' but it seems like a lot of junk goes for silly money - I should know, I just made 700 sovs from clearing out me shed! Think I'll paint the tank after me hols, copper flake with, sort of, white comets pinstriped in black. White seats rule! So do white grips and footrest rubbers. I'd get a white 'popsickle' kicker pedal if I could find one? Cheers Johnny

havent seen the pipsickle ones in white but jammer do the normal rubber ones in white.... and i dont care what you all say - i still think white seats are gay... lol what tank did you get off trent? i was looking at the scrapmetal ones - his stuff is top drawer - got me mudguard off him - 13 guage heavy and sturdy fuck

slowrider- 01-20-2007

Trent's just making it for me now, it's the 3 quart round tank with the spun ends in steel. $200 shipped with brass NPT elbows for running copper lines included. Pretty fair price I thought. Here's some daylight progress pics

looks ace, i love them kicker pedals from jammer, i had one on my pan and my shov.

sumo- 01-20-2007

looks sweet as.... you putting a top motor mount on there eventually? dogbones look good on nthere- i might end upthat route - im kind of flummoxing on bars at the minute...

slowrider- 01-21-2007

Yeah, top motor mount, tank mounts and 101 other little jobs to do on the frame before I shoot some Dulux on it. Hopefully should be OTR about April/May tho.
