Moonshiners- 09-29-2006

Hey bud and welcome, I think Brighton is still on the cards, it's my fault for being behind. Service parts turned up last nite, the scoot is now a roller again. (wahoo). The front ends been off and the frames been balancing on a trolleyjack and an old truck battery for the last two weeks! Some small stuff left to do this weekend then MoT ASAP. Just got some minor electrics, trim the rear fender (chain is a bit close on one side), service the motor couple hundred zip ties and prime her. It's been a long old drag, but she's getting there! Shouldn't be too long now OSD... (what does that stand for?)

Afternoon, So not such an internet lemon after all ! Here's a few pic's, the IronHead is back to a bare frame now waiting for the new tail. Oh and the high Z bars are from stainless to fit the bike and are super narrow and about 9" rise. later Rob

dude, that evo sporty is super cool, wasn't it on ebay a while back?

OSD- 10-02-2006

The Evo used to belong to Matt Davis ( DicE magazine ), he's off to live in LA and I managed to snag his pride and joy, just starting to put a few touches to it, make it my own. Made the bars, re-jetted the carb, modified throttle cables and a few other bits. Root Beer candy paint job this month, and a white tuck and roll seat just turned up today !

superb, thats a real cool bike. i'm building one myself... well i've started taking a sporty apart, got some bends sorted and then completely changed my mind as to what to do with it. I had pretty much set my mind on building a real long bike but my old pan has just turned up at the shop to have some springers fitted and i keep looking at it and think i may build something sixties style again. I'm all confused.

Benny, Well all I'll add is I've had it about 2 months, loved the look of it as soon as I saw it in DicE, had to sell a 2005 Buell lighting to buy it and don't regret it one bit, spend every ride grinning like a loon, it has an S&S big bore kit on it which makes traffic lights alot of fun, all for half the cost of a big twin. Oh, and I could have sold it 20 times over, always draws a crowd, which is why I'm planning to build a couple of Evo's in the future. I'm sticking of Sporty's for the time being and big plans for the 76, watch this space ! Later

yep, they are cool motors, can't wait till i get it in a rigid frame

Jolly green giant- 10-17-2006

Hi have an FXD twink for just over 5 years pretty standard + aftermarket alloys, cams bit of artwork by yours truly. Getting a bit tired of the HOG thing. Building my first chop on a TIGHT budget can't afford a harley motor (would love a knuckle) haven't got the b*lls to chop the FXD so using a GS750 on an Uncle Bunt rigid frame. Going for a skinny look with either original harley wheels or recon GS. Can't decide whether to go for 50's hotrod style or more likely 70's metalflake (sorry) trying to do as much as poss. meself paint artwork etc. (did the art on 'Too much luck' if you've seen it) just finished the saddle came out at about 85% as planned. Will post pics. if anyone interested. See ya
