Steppin' out of the shadows...
Been lurking here for a while after following a link from the JJ...thought it was about time I stepped outta the shadows & introduced myself... It all started for me from a very young age when I was forever corrupted by the exciting, wild & exotic early 1950's vinyl my 'Teddy boy' old man used to incessantly play...Chuck into the mix an early ride on the back of an uncles old bathtub Triumph, exposure to alcohol, women & the punk ethic from my formative years & my destiny was never in doubt...Always been into dusty, rusty & untrusty old iron of both the two & four wheel variety...loved & lost a host of old Brit & US '40's & 50's stuff (45's / '42 Indian / Trumps / BSA's / Royal Enfields etc) over the years, always due to the demands of various women or the necessity not to become homeless!...Had a further 'St paul on the road to Damascus' moment a while back when a buddy (thanks Shane!) lent me 'Choppertown', the brotherhood & spirituality of which bought the important things in life back into an immediate sharp focus...currently running a modified Hinkley Triumph Bonneville as a daily driver & the custodian of the 93" S&S shovel chopper you (should) see as my avatar if I've got the hang of this forum malarkey. Cheers,

so you rolling that on the tipple run then? go on - you know you want to Hope to get there for at least part...even if it's just stonehenge...usual trouble tryin' to juggle all the shit that gets in the way of whats important! If I do it will be on the shov...I'm just waiting for some parts to sort the clutch... Got it MOT'd recently at a 'sympathetic' local shop...riding back with 12 month ticket in hand & a smile a mile wide got caught in one of those storms we had in the South West recently (80mph winds/flooding etc)...the bike stalled and in the process of kicking it back into life (saturated boots & a white pedal rubber with the consistency of a bar of soap) the fucker fell off the stand...of course sods law dictated that just at that moment it fired! After trying but failing to dive underneath it I had to watch it spinning around on the clutch...(very) luckily a lick of paint to the plate & 3 hub studs / nuts was the only damage...
