Stupid speedo question
I ditched all the stock speedo crapola off the sporty. Picked up a "mini speedo" (harley ratio - zodiac). So figured it should bolt straight up.... (wrong again) But the thread/size of cup on the speedo is way bigger/smaller to the threaded cup on the cable. This must be a pretty common problem, no? As far as i'm aware The stock speedo cable is built in to the worm drive. So can't just switch it out for another cup. (could be wrong?) So is there an adapter or am i looking at a whole new speedo cable and drive and pulling the front wheel, just to get this speedo to work? If there is an adapter any one know where i can get one quick in the UK? I can't believe there's not a simple answer to this... Answers on a postcard.

i would have thought you could get a new cable made to fit the speedo drive at the wheel and also fit the thread cup on the speedo head try alpha customs, they sorted my speedo cable problem for my benny build, and no rip off prices 02084678484, ask for Ali hope this helps spindle :wink: :wink:

Edit: Fuck it new cable on the way... How come it's easier to pull a whole bike apart than fit new parts out the packet....? Thanks guys.
