Sumo - EDR this year ? Sumo
Thought I'd stop by and say hello. Are you doing the El Diablo run this year
sumo- 03-25-2008
yep heading over to baja again on the 14th - got 2 weeks off work this time round - gotten myself a shovel over there now so fingers crossed should be a good trip again. no more 2-stroke smoke in the morning making people feel sick
doing an extra few hundred miles there this year - meeting up in tuscon, over to mexicali, san felipe, ensenada and back to tuscon
cant wait - should be a blast

God im so envious. I wish I had the presence of mind and forward planning to arrange something similar to what you have done. ( Not that I know anyone who would hire / lend me a bike ! )
Enjoy !

hiring isnt going to happen - they wont let a foreigner take it into mexico - fair enough i guess
i bought a bike there - lucky enough to have friends there that look after it and deal with shit for me - and if i need to can sell it and get my money back out of it - cheaper in the long run than renting too
had offers of borrowing a bike but decided i couldnt afford to fix it if i binned it.
met some bloody good folk over there courtesy of bill putting on EDR. hope to pay some of them good vibes back generally with the tipple run - we will see

Very lucky indeed. I'd love to borrow / buy a bike and do the EDR. I need higher calibre US friends !
Have a great trip !

I'd LOVE to go an that ED run, I've read alot about it, that's the way to do it though on a decent bike, you've obviously got some great contacts over there
